Motivating Ideas on The Coming Judgment about Effective Parenting of Children in Their Formative Years.
We have once observed that the world has been in darkness and families have been adversely affected as a result. We noticed the deviation from the original intention of God the creator for godly behaviors, attitudes and characters which parents should inculcate in their children from their formative years. We cited areas of the world trending with conflicts, especially the Levant region popularly known as the Middle East where hostilities broke out between the Palestinians (formerly Philistines) and the Israelis (formerly Israelites) in recent times. We heard how scores of women and children were killed either deliberately or inadvertently, with both sides pointing accusing fingers at who first violated the rules of engagement in such conflicts. Recent developments in Nigeria where agitators for sovereign nation states within the Nigerian "federation" shifted focus of this darkness from the Middle East region to Nigeria. Reports of killings of presumed innocent civilians by Nigerian security forces, including the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and Nigerian Armed Forces rose from the South East of Nigeria and the other parts of the Eastern Region (also known as, and called, South South). Note that the South East of Nigeria actually represents the Eastern Nigeria in geographical terms. Meanwhile, the Forces blamed the activities of unidentified arms bearing persons who killed some of their personnel and torched some police office buildings as well as office buildings of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) on their prime suspects, the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN), set up by the leadership of IPOB, without any investigation at all. In fact, a former inspector General of Police (IGP), was sacked as a result of his hasty accusation of the suspected groups for the first incident of torching Police office buildings and breaking the gates and releasing prisoners from a Correctional Centre in Owerri the Imo State capital. Meanwhile, the leadership of IPOB has severally dissociated themselves and the ESN from the activities of the "unknown gunmen" although apparently welcoming their activities as a revenge by aggrieved persons whose acquaintances had suffered untold brutalities, including killings, in the hands of the Nigeria Police and other security forces. Yet, the government of Imo State was perceived as organizing the gruesome murder of one Ikonso, one of the commanders in the Eastern Security Network, on the pretext that he was masterminding the killing of soldiers who unreasonably went after the Eastern Security Network because they were controvertibly proscribed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The killing of a prominent Nigerian politician, one Ahmed Gulak, which occurred in the state capital of Imo around this same tense period aggravated the suspicion of both divides of North and South regions of Nigeria. Police, in turn, went haywire killing whoever they ran into on the pretext that the victims were the perpetrators of the killing of the politician. Again, the new IGP who resumed work not quite long after the previous one was dropped, gave an unprintable order to a reinforcement of police mobile force squad deployed specifically to the South East thereby aggravating the already tense situation. Meanwhile, the fear gripping families across the region can only be imagined. The security forces barricaded most roads and streets in an attempt to slow down the attacks on targets of the unidentified gunmen hence creating traffic tensions on the roads and streets occasioning movement restrictions for citizens. This brought about untold hardships on the residents in the affected areas. As if that was not enough, the President of Nigeria made a tweet on his handle suggesting that he was ready to wage a war against the Indigenous Peoples of the East should they continue with their ‘misbehavior’, in his own words, promising to “treat them in the language they will understand”!This made Twitter delete the vicious tweet which it claimed violated its community standards on safety rules. However, hell was apparently let loose given the reaction of the Nigerian Government in retaliation to Twitter’s action. The world has altogether been shaken to its foundation as many mainstream media of note and world leaders have reacted to the ban on Twitter by the Nigerian Government. Peoples of Nigeria have mostly condemned the action of government citing restriction of their freedom of expression as against their fundamental human rights. In all this, it is not very difficult to see the hand of God writing his judgment on the affected entities, be they governments, organizations or individuals who made bold to violate his eternal laws with impunity. As the God of justice, he is known to set a time to bring judgment on peoples and nations who fail to take advantage of his provision of forgiveness if they repent of their sins. Sins mean all wrong doings. God is so holy that he has warned to punish every sin no matter who is involved. A prayer of repentance is all that is required to avoid the inevitable judgment of God.Yes, judgment is coming on all those who create environments characterized by insecurity, panic and unhappiness, especially for parents, children and adults against their God-ordained roles as enshrined in the fundamental human rights and proper constitutions of nation states. There shall be no escape for the guilty with respect to the imminent judgment of God.
